NZIOB Silver Jubilee Year 1983 - 2008
The year 2008 marks the 25th anniversary of the year the NZIOB became an incorporated society. The Institute had operated as the kiwi arm of the Australian Institute of Building up to that point.

NZIOB Silver Jubilee Awards For Excellence 2008 & NZIOB Progressive Building Magazine Young Achiever of the Year - The Awards Dinner was held at the Hyatt Regency, Auckland on the 15th August 2008.
The NZIOB Silver Jubilee Awards for Excellence & NZIOB Progressive Building Magazine Young Achiever of the Year 2008 was a great success with over 500 from the construction industry attending the Awards ceremony and dinner. The proceedings were MC'd by Kerre Woodham whose talents enlivened the evening and kept things on track. Our guest speaker was Tim Shadbolt, mayor of the city of Invergargill, who thoroughly entertained the audience.

The New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB) is a unique organisation within professional institutions as we focus on the entire industry, as opposed to a specific discipline.Our members come from a variety of backgrounds; commercial and residential construction both small and large scale are all represented by our professional faction.
Most importantly, the NZIOB offers a variety of levels of membership to ensure an opportunity for everyone within the industry to belong.
