The NAWIC team picked up third place at the 2017 Central Chapter Quiz Night
The Resene Construction Systems sponsored Quiz Night series concluded with an elegant evening at The Tannery in Christchurch on the 27th of July. This new venue provides the additional capacity required, as the popularity of the Southern Chapter’s edition of the annual Quiz Nights rises. The venue certainly was quite special, and the event a reflection of the energy that Southern Chapter President, Hayley Tribble and her team put into the night.
With the original Central Chapter Quiz continuing to sell out the 260-person capacity Mac’s Function Centre in Wellington (acknowledgements to Central Chapter Board members, Dennise Austin and Gareth Jeune), and the Northern Chapter event now becoming established, these evenings have become a social highlight for the construction sector. A night that practitioners right across the supply chain come together for an entertaining occasion.
Social events such as the Quiz Nights and Golf Days are a key offering of the Institute to its members, and are a nice balance to the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes that the NZIOB runs. No CPD credits on offer at a Quiz Night, though they sure are fun.
The winning teams of the three 2017 NZIOB Quiz Nights are:
Northern Chapter, Ramset
Central Chapter, Naylor Love (third year in a row)
Southern Chapter, Chaplin Crooks Architects
