Description

The site is Linwood Pool: Te Pou Toetoe. It is a $20m facility that includes a dryside and wetside. The dryside has a community room, meeting room, entrance lobby, kitchen, and administration area. The wet side has all the change rooms, plant rooms and the pool hall. The pool hall consists of a six-lane 25m pool, a family spa pool, a bombing pool, a learn to swim pool, and a toddler's play area.  Externally, there are sports courts, car parks, and landscaping.

On the day of the visit, the visitors will see a combination of carpark and landscaping works including a mural along the service yard wall being undertaken by Christchurch’s Wongi. Internally, the fit-out of the changing rooms will be underway and the pool liner install will have commenced.

Finally, we will be joined by Kent Summerfield, the Senior Project Manager at Christchurch City Council who will provide an overview of the project.

PPE Requirements: Hard hat, hi-viz, and closed-toe shoes.
