Built to Last Conference update

LATEST NEWS

Built to Last is the title of the NZIOB’s 2020 conference, remodeled as a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual attendance options. The Conference will be held on Friday 30 October at the Cordis hotel in Auckland.

The theme of ‘a deep dive into new ideas that will transform and strengthen New Zealand’s construction industry’, is particularly relevant as we establish what construction best practice now looks like in a post COVID-19 world.

The conference format has been finalised, with the programme comprising three sessions: Wellbeing, Technology, and Resilience. Each session will have an international speaker presenting virtually and a New Zealand speaker presenting in-person. Bookending these sessions will be the keynote speakers, whose presentations will be on the over-riding theme of ‘built to last’. The keynote to start the conference will talk about being ‘build to last’ from an industry perspective, while the keynote who closes out the conference will speak about being ‘built to last’ from a built-environment perspective.
