NZS 3910 Standards Revision Committee announced

The Construction Sector Accord and the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission have jointly commissioned a review of NZS 3910. Six NZIOB members are part of the Review Committee, tasked with undertaking an important workstream on behalf of the construction sector.

Construction costs rising at the fastest annual pace in almost four years

On Wednesday, CoreLogic released a report which showed the cost of building over the past year had risen 6.1 per cent. This was a big jump from a 3 per cent rise in 2020 and a 3.9 per cent rise in 2019.

Young people flocking to trade jobs post-lockdown

Stats NZ revealed a 17 per cent increase in workers aged between 15-19 joining the industry in November 2021, the largest of all age brackets by at least five per cent.
