An upcoming state-of-the-art office building in Dunedin will be the case study for new safety trials, aimed at reducing the number of workplace accidents in the building industry. Ngāi Tahu Property and ACC have joined forces with the construction Industry to reduce the high rates of accidents and injuries on construction sites, through Building Information Modelling (BIM).

The sold-out Southern Region Golf Day is going ahead on Friday, 29 October as planned. Due to Christchurch currently being in Alert Level 2, advice was sought from Golf New Zealand as to whether the NZIOB tournament would be permitted, and they confirmed that it could proceed.

If Chelsea Roper worked in an office she would not have to worry about where to put used tampons, but portaloos on construction sites were not built with women in mind. Roper, an apprentice builder in Queenstown, was busy finding ways to dispose of sanitary products when she realised others were facing the same issue.
