The NZIOB’s reputation as a leader in the promotion of Building Information Modelling (BIM) is well established, with New Zealand’s BIM Acceleration Committee (BAC) appointing the NZIOB to run the successful BIM 101 workshops in 2016. Earlier this month BAC asked the Institute to survey the construction industry, to gauge BIM uptake over the past 12 months, and to understand preferences for the format of a follow-up BIM 201 workshop series.
NZIOB members, Dennis Burns (Archaus, Wellington) and Glenn Jowett (AECOM, Christchurch) have been at the fore of BIM 101/BIM 201 initiatives. Their growing reputations as BIM experts has seen them both feature on the program for the inaugural New Zealand BIM Conference that is being held in Auckland, 25 and 26 October 2017.
As we showcased earlier this year at our ‘Constructing our World’ conference, the NZIOB is a strong advocate of construction innovation. BIM, we believe is a technology that will assist the drive to create time and cost savings on projects that our industry designs, documents, and delivers. The NZIOB is therefore pleased to be a supporter of a conference devoted to this key technology, and a forum that two of our members will be speaking at.
Those NZIOB members who register for the New Zealand BIM Conference can gain preferential rates by using the promotional code MNP64X when booking online by 31 August 2017.
Members will receive 5 CPD credits per day of attendance (10 CPD credits for both days).
