The awards evening will take place on 30 August at the Viaduct Event Centre in Tāmaki | Auckland.

BIMinNZ Conference 2022 – Meet the Speakers

Over the next few editions of News from the Source, we will be profiling our BIMinNZ Conference speakers. In our Sustainability Programme Stream, Chris Scott and Jun Tsujimoto from Jasmax will be presenting a case study on the adaptive reuse and sustainability in the University of Auckland B201 project, and Emily Newmarch, a PhD candidate at Victoria University of Wellington will be presenting on BIM-enabled carbon calculation.

NZIOB National Board February strategy session

The outcome of the 26 March ’21 NZIOB Strategy Day was that the Institute has four focuses for the upcoming two-year period. Three focuses to get on with immediately (active) and one longer term goal to envisage what the NZIOB will look like in 5-10 years’ time. Action on how to tackle the longer term goal is being undertaken at a half-day strategy refresh session for the board in February 2022.

BIMinNZ transition from the BAC to NZIOB

The NZIOB National Board has approved the transition of the BIMinNZ workstreams from the BIM Acceleration Committee (BAC) across to the NZIOB. A BIMinNZ Steering Group has been established and will work with the NZIOB National Office to deliver projects and events that promote BIM adoption across the construction supply-chain.

Southern Region Golf Day teams battle it out

The sold-out Southern Region Golf Day went ahead on Friday, 29 October as planned, adhering to Alert Level 2 protocols. The event was another great success, with 27 teams competing for the coveted top prizes. Most attendees confirmed they will be back next year to battle it out all over again.

BIMinNZ is a one-day conference on Building Information Modelling (BIM) being held in Wellington on Thursday, 10 March 2022. The theme for the 2022 Conference is Building our Digital Community and will delve into use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and other construction technologies by the construction supply chain.
