Get your crew together for a much needed and long-awaited night out. The NZ Building Industry Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner is being held simultaneously across three venues this year: The Cordis in Auckland, Te Papa in Wellington, and the Town Hall in Christchurch. Each venue has its own MC and entertainment, and the whole event will be live-streamed.

Auckland – MC Jackie Clarke and entertainment by Allana Goldsmith

Jazz singer Allana Goldsmith has featured at many of the major festivals around the country, including the Waiheke International Festival, the Tauranga National Jazz Festival, the Queenstown Jazz Festival, and the Wellington and Auckland Matariki Festivals. Allana will be performing with the SNH Trio – Dixon Nacey on guitar, Kevin Haines on double bass, and Ron Samsom on drums.

Wellington – MC Frankie Stevens and entertainment by Vanessa Stacey

Vanessa Stacey has built a reputation with her live performances – warm, smokey vocals and soulful delivery of R&B/Soul/Jazz originals and rearrangements. Vanessa with be playing alongside musicians James Illingworth on keyboards and Rick Cranson on drums.

Christchurch – MC Phil Gifford and entertainment by Mahalia Simpson

A soul songstress from Christchurch, raised in a musical Polynesian family, Mahalia has performed on many stages including the Thredbo Jazz Festival, Australia’s X-Factor Top 5, and as opening act for Dionne Warwick. Inspired by jazz, neo-soul and gospel music, Mahalia’s raw and honest soulful tones have a unique sound.
