Every two years the NZIOB holds a Strategy Day to review progress, discuss challenges, and decide on future goals. On Friday 26 March, a group of 12 construction industry representatives generously gave their time to attend the Institute’s 2021 Strategy Day in Auckland and were expertly guided through the process by Peter Harrison from ThinkPlace. Needless to say, this Strategy Day felt different from previous ones – a global pandemic coupled with a construction boom has presented many unique challenges to the industry.
Thank you to all participants, who contributed valuable insights and suggestions on how to move the Institute and the broader construction industry forward. NZIOB Chief Executive, Malcolm Fleming, is summarising the day’s outcomes for presentation to the NZIOB National Board next week, after which the Institute’s 2021-2023 strategic goals will be ratified. We will present the resultant Strategic Plan in an upcoming issue of News from the Source.
