Nancy is the General Manager of Corporate Affairs, Hawkins Group. A key component of her role is to develop strong relationships between business and the wider community in relation to contextual education pathways and work opportunities.
Nancy leads Hawkins’ community involvement by collaboratively partnering with educators, trainers, community and Iwi to develop effective pathways that harness potential, particularly for those who are disadvantaged. Those pathways include employment, further training, or leadership opportunities across the construction industry. Nancy is a key collaborator in this space, and is working with several organisations, including Maori & Pasifika Trades Training throughout New Zealand.
Nancy is passionate about making a substantial contribution ‘in kind’ to impact the social transformation of the communities that the people of Hawkins work and live in. At Hawkins says Nancy, “we want to be part of developing learning, training and working opportunities that harness the potential of our young men and women so that they see construction as an attractive career opportunity.”
Nancy's presentation at ‘Constructing our World’ is being delivered in tandem with fellow Hawkin’s GM, Gary Walker. The topic of their presentation is “Building a learning organisation that benefits all.”
Seminar dates are Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th of March. Visit www.constructingourworld.com to register today!
