Description

Wellington’s new Convention and Exhibition Centre (Tākina) has a unique sculptural form that draws inspiration from a wide range of sources including its maritime location, Wellington's dramatic, and sometimes wild, weather patterns, and landforms. 

Tākina has reached the halfway point of construction with the exterior nearing completion. The internal spaces are being formed and fit-out works are underway. This tour is an excellent opportunity to see the build in progress and hear how the wider team has engaged through the design process, coordinating across multiple disciplines to realise the design.

Only 30 spaces are available. 

PPE Requirements: Hard Hat, Steel-capped Boots and a High-Vis Vest
