Following industry feedback, the New Zealand Building Industry Awards will revert to a single Auckland venue for its 2021 Ceremony & Gala Dinner. This reflects both waning travel concerns and a desire for attendees to be with the entire industry in one room for the vertical construction industry’s ‘big night’. 

We thank the building and construction industry for its support for the multi-venue model we adopted in 2020, as we responded to COVID-19. Achieving 830 in-person attendees last year was certainly an endorsement of the approach we took. We thank industry again now for sharing its preference for the NZIOB to return to its traditional format now that pandemic concerns are no longer paramount. 

The 2021 Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner is being held on Friday, 13 August at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland. General ticket sales to non-finalists open on Monday (14 June), however, if you wish to register your interest in attending, please email niki@nziob.org.nz.
