The Construction Sector Transformation Plan is a three-year plan of action from industry and government to lift the performance of the sector.
The Construction Sector Accord team is working hard on developing the next version of the Transformation Plan, which they are calling ‘Accord 2.0’. The existing plan comes to an end on 30 June, with 27 of 30 milestones completed and the three outstanding milestones due for completion under the new plan.
So far, the team has consulted with nearly 120 individuals, developed five new reference groups (such as residential SME, Māori construction, private clients) and identified well over 500 relevant initiatives underway around the world, which could inform a New Zealand workstream.
The new plan is due to be launched in mid-2022 with further details to be released over the coming months.
