Following on from our Built to Last speaker line-up story featured in the last edition of News from the Source, the NZIOB has confirmed two additional speakers for an event that will serve as the first leg of a major construction industry double-feature that will take place on Friday 30 October. The second leg being the New Zealand Building Industry Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner. The speakers confirmed this past fortnight are:
- A keynote address from a management author and speaker, who is currently working with clients such as NASA and the US Marines on the topic of resilience. Our speaker’s TED Talk has amassed more than 22 million views, making it to the list of TED Talks 25 most-watched presentations.
- An address from a director of a global architectural practice on how the construction industry should approach its responsibilities of designing and delivering a built environment that is truly built to last.
The final speaking spot to be confirmed is a case study, the details of which will be included in the Built to Last programme launch later this month.
