Following a recommendation from the Institute’s Young Professional Advisor (YPA) group, the NZIOB is delighted to announce that it has engaged the services of Clearhead to provide financial members of the NZIOB with complimentary access to a suite of digital mental health support tools. These services will be available from 1 April 2022. Registration information will be emailed to each financial member before this date.
The provision of this complimentary benefit to financial members aligns with one of the NZIOB’s key 2021-2023 strategic goals, Wellbeing. The NZIOB Board takes the view that, while some NZIOB members are already members of an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), a benefit now commonly offered by larger employers, not all NZIOB members have access to an EAP. In addition to the online tools, financial members will have access to Clearhead’s nationwide network of therapists. While any therapy sessions that members may book via the Clearhead platform will be at their own cost, having easy access to therapy sessions is a significant benefit in an age when it is difficult for someone without an existing relationship with a therapist to engage one outside of an EAP.
Clearhead is an online mental wellbeing website and app created by doctors and psychologists that provides all the support you need to overcome your challenges in one place. Clearhead is designed to help build self-awareness and guide you to reduce stress, handle anxieties, manage your moods, sleep better, and support loved ones. Chat things through with our Digital Wellbeing Assistant and be guided through self-help tools that help you build resilience and skills to overcome the ups and downs of life. Clearhead ensures that anything that you share remains confidential.
Additionally, you will be able to access therapy sessions (at the member’s cost) with more than 300+ therapists either online or in-person through an online booking system. Designed on the understanding that one size does not fit all, we put choice, convenience and control back in your hands.
