2 June 2020. This week’s NZIOB webinar represents a change of tack. While the NZIOB’s previous COVID-19 themed webinars dealt with topics that the construction industry needed immediate information on as COVID-19 struck, the focus now is to provide guidance on how construction practitioners and companies can make the necessary adjustments to successfully operate (and ideally thrive) in a post COVID-19 world.
The first webinar in this vein is a collaboration with BDO on the topic of Financial Management. Presenter and NZIOB Member, James MacQueen, leads BDO’s Construction and Real Estate team, which in 2018 launched an annual Construction Survey Report that has provided the industry with valuable insights into metrics such as profitability, margins, and risk management. The 3 June webinar will include separate guidance for three distinct construction industry sub-groups that the NZIOB represents; main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants/professionals.
