The NZIOB is often approached by students in construction-focused post-graduate programmes about the opportunity to expose the NZIOB membership to their data collection surveys. While the NZIOB wishes to encourage our members to participate in student surveys, the volume of these requests makes it impractical to circulate each one to our membership base. Our solution has been to develop a Student Research Surveys page on our website, which members can visit and participate in research topics that resonate with them. There are currently five surveys on the page that cover a range of construction topics. Such well-considered research reports could lead to the reshaping of the way we design and build in the future.
