New Zealand’s new Privacy Act took effect from 1 December 2020. The new regulations repeal and replace the Privacy Act of 1993, bringing stronger protections to personal information in the digital age. The updated rules mean businesses and organisations will have new obligations for keeping personal information safe – including that of customers, clients and employees.
The NZ Construction Industry Council (NZCIC) had the chance to sit down with privacy and risk operations experts, Mark and Caroline Carver of TwoBlackLabs to learn about the revisions to the Privacy Act that were instituted in December 2020. Watch the NZCIC video to hear more about the changes and what they'll mean for your business and members.
