ABOUT

BuildUP24 The NZ Institute of Building’s annual conference brings together a broad cross-section of Institute members.  The conference is an opportunity to focus on both big-picture strategic issues and dive deeply into practical solutions, tricks, tips, and lessons learned.

The Institute of Building is the only construction and infrastructure industry organisation focused on individuals and best practice professional behaviour – the Institute is literally made up of ‘building people’ at its heart. Together, we are ‘building’ the best people to deliver Aotearoa New Zealand’s built environment.

The conference focuses on 3Ps:

  • People – our ‘next generation’ of workers and how we communicate, prepare, and respond to their needs,
  • Performance – how we use sporting-based learning to prepare our people for better, more, higher, and greater results,
  • Productivity – delivering more while using less by tapping into smart tools, products, and services.

BuildUP24 will be practical and hands on, providing real-world examples and proven success stories which you can take away and use in your own work.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

If you’re a manager of people in the construction sector (or aspire to be) - then this event is for you.

Examples of roles this will be useful for: Site Manager, Construction Manager, Design Manager, Cost Manager, Digital Manager, Project Manager, Site Supervisor, Foreman, Project Coordinator, and Services Manager.

Need to convince the higher ups this event is worth your time and their money?

Below is some info you can copy and paste into an email to whoever is holding the purse strings:

  • BuildUP24 will be a day of interactive learning focused on building up people, growing productivity and finding performance solutions.  BuildUP24 will be practical and hands on, providing real-world examples and proven success stories which you can take away and use in your own work – allowing you to contribute to your organisation.

Flexi Registration

We’ve added a Flexi Registration option which makes it possible for more than one person in your organisation to share a registration. If you have team members interested in attending but they don’t have enough time to make it for the whole day, this is the option for you!

The fine print:

  • Flexi registration allows you to use one registration across multiple staff members.
Only one of you may be in a session at a time and you need to have to the name badge/lanyard.
  • There will be one name badge printed with the organisation name – which will need to be passed between those using the Flexi Registration (you can either hand it back to the desk for your team member to pick it up or pass it between you like a baton!)
  • While you don’t need to know exactly who is coming when you sign up - a name will still need to be given in order to register.
  • For non-member Flexi Registration the free Connect Membership that comes with it can be given to one person (for 12 months) or split between 2 people (6 months each)
