Interim Establishment Board (iEB) for WDCs

Following a successful Expression of Interest process, a strong group of interim Establishment Board (iEB) members has been selected and will start work on the formation of all six Workforce Development Councils (WDCs). The establishment of the WDCs was originally targeted for mid-2021 but has been fast-tracked to help support New Zealand’s COVID-19 response and recovery.

2021 Keystone Scholarships are open

Keystone Trust offers Study Awards and Scholarships to school leavers who have circumstantial and financial need, and who are heading onto tertiary study specific to a career in construction. The Trust is currently accepting applications for its 2021 Study Awards, Kiwi Property Scholarship, and newly established C3 Construction Scholarship.

The Government’s Apprenticeship Support Programme was announced on Wednesday. The programme is a cross-agency government response, the key components of which are; a new government subsidy that will pay employers for each apprentice they train, and the expansion of the existing Mana in Mahi programme.
