Raynor Redman, NZIOB’s Events Manager, is responsible for the organisation and oversight of all NZIOB national events. Those events include the New Zealand Building Industry Awards, the National Student Awards and Building Legends workshops, along with assisting the regions with their events calendar.
She and her business partner own an events management company, Twelve Conferences + Events. The career path that led Raynor to specialise in events management included roles with the State Services Commission and with KPMG and AXA in the UK.
Raynor’s greatest sense of satisfaction comes from ensuring an event is the best it possibly can be and exceeds the expectations of the client and their guests. Such fortuitous outcomes are aided by Raynor’s aptitude for being across the multitude of details involved in delivering a successful event. Her previous experience in the building and construction sector is limited to overseeing the build of her own home some four years ago, an experience not to be underestimated.
Outside work Raynor’s interests include her family, she and her partner have two school-age children, working out at the gym, water skiing in summer and snow skiing in winter. She is also an avid reader and a keen supporter of Highland Dancing, having danced for over 20 years, and is a past member of the Manawatu Scottish Society Pipe Band.
Raynor looks forward to meeting NZIOB members at the Institute’s upcoming events.
