On 20 May, the NZIOB Southern Region Committee hosted a student-only site tour of Concision's off-site manufacturing facility. The Concision team arranged for a series of short presentations from their employees, who gave a thorough explanation of the process behind, and benefits of, pre-fabrication and off-site manufacturing.

NZIOB Kalmar Fishing Competition results

Despite a change of date due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, almost 200 fishermen and women turned out for the annual NZIOB Kalmar Fishing Competition. Lots of fish were pulled in, and some of them were whoppers!

The Southern Region Committee hosted their annual quiz night on Wednesday, 12 May at The Welles in Christchurch’s CBD. The sold-out event was a great success, with teams from across the construction sector coming together for some friendly, and at times intense, competition.

This high-profile building is the first major project for Aoraki Construction, with interest in the striking building design and the new construction company contributing to a well-attended site visit event.
