The NZIOB is pleased to announce that ticket sales are now open for the two biggest events in our annual calendar, both happening on Friday, 30 October. Delegates can attend the Built to Last conference during the day, and then the New Zealand Building Industry Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner that same evening. NZIOB Members booking events online – easy!

As reported in an earlier issue of News from the Source, the NZIOB National Office has been busy working with our IT developer to build a new event registration system onto our existing website and membership portal platform. We are delighted to announce that the system is now live. Instead of being directed to an external third-party website to register for an NZIOB event, members log in to the member portal, and the rest is easy.

The NZIOB National Office staff have been busy working with our IT developer to build a new event registration system onto our existing member database. Instead of being directed to an external third-party website to register for an NZIOB event, members need only log in to the member portal, scroll through the list of events, click Register, and then the registration form will autofill with all your details. Easy!

Creating the stage for the 36th America’s Cup

In what has transpired to be a temporary relief from COVID-19 restrictions, July saw the return of the NZIOB’s classic ‘in-person’ site visits, with events simultaneously occurring in Auckland and Wellington on the afternoon of Thursday 23rd of July. The Auckland event involved a tour of the America’s Cup precinct (there are four syndicate bases including Team New Zealand’s).

The Central Region Committee hosted a sell-out site visit to the Cuba Precinct project on 23 July. Highlights of the visit included insight into the retention methods of heritage features, viewing key structural elements, and a behind-the-scenes look into future developments in the area.
