The Hays Barometer Report is a snapshot of workplace mental health and wellbeing. Employers and professionals were asked about changes in the workplace as a result of COVID-19, specifically around two important topics: mental health and wellbeing; and equality, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I).

Site Safe online course for Consultants

Site Safe has created an online health and safety course specifically for consultants. The four-hour entry level online course, Foundation Passport – Consultants (Online), is designed to ensure consultants can fulfil their personal health and safety responsibilities based on the law and industry standards, throughout the project life cycle and when on site.

After what has been a difficult and unusual first three quarters of the year, the NZIOB Event Calendar for Q4 2020 and Q1 2021 is filling up nicely. It is encouraging to be able to offer such quality events to our membership again, knowing that due to COVID-19 and its resulting disruptions to our industry, there has been a noticeable lack of events compared to previous years.

Exploring an industry and a built environment that is ‘built to last’

In three weeks today, the NZIOB will be hosting Built to Last, a one-day conference positioned as a deep dive into new ideas that will transform and strengthen construction industries globally. Focusing on the core topics of resilience, technology and wellbeing, Built to Last will be delivered in a hybrid format, with ‘in-person’ and ‘virtual’ speakers and attendees alike.
